We See Africa Safaris was founded by a small team of guides, drivers and travel planners — all Tanzanian, all in love with the land we grew up exploring.
We started because we kept meeting travelers who'd flown across the world for an "African adventure" and ended up on a rushed, cookie-cutter tour. We knew we could do better — slower, deeper, more honest.
Today we craft tailor-made safaris, mountain climbs and Zanzibar escapes for travelers who want the real thing. No scripts. No upsells. Just our country, shared the way a friend would show it to you.

Meet Our CEO & Founder
Eric J. Matope
CEO & Founder · Moshi, Tanzania
Born and raised in Tanzania, Eric J. Matope is the founder of We See Africa Safaris, a locally owned Tanzanian tour company built around authentic experiences, professional service, and meaningful connections.
Eric began his journey in the tourism industry working with different tourism companies. In 2020 he decided to start his own company with a clear goal: freedom to make decisions, introduce better ideas, and improve the way travelers experience Tanzania. In 2026, We See Africa Safaris was officially registered.
A percentage of the profits generated from our tourism activities is dedicated to supporting local communities. Eric's long-term vision is a community center focused on early childhood education and healthcare.
